Voltage Drop Calculator

Calculate voltage drop for your landscape lighting installation. Ensure optimal performance by maintaining proper voltage at the end of your lighting runs.

Instructions for Use - HK Product Method (100% HK Lighting Systems Only)

  1. Run Length needs to be input from site plan or design. Wattage is calculated by product mix entered below.
  2. Input the quantity of each product below on each wire run to calculate voltage.
  3. On-site adjustment: The easiest way to modify end of line voltage when on site is to use the variable voltage tap on the transformer.
  4. Wire gauge can be modified in design process or on site. Increasing wire thickness (lower gauge) will reduce voltage drop.
  5. All wire needs to be direct burial copper landscape wire.
  6. Wire gauge and transformer tap have pull down menus. Run length should be input from design or onsite measurement.
